The candidate of the Workers’ Party (PT) in the Brazilian elections, Lula da Silva, beat Jair Bolsonaro in Lisbon, Porto and Faro, according to data released by the party itself.
In the Portuguese capital, Lula da Silva obtained 12,872 votes, corresponding to 64.5% of those validated. The current president, Jair Bolsonaro, obtained only 35.3% (7,085 votes).
The PT candidate also had more votes in the undefeated election, where 64.8% of voters favored Lula da Silva, while 35.2% voted for Bolsonaro.
The same result, but with different numbers, was recorded in Faro. The victory was closer, but Lula da Silva’s 52% beat Bolsonaro’s 48%.
Thus, the candidate of the Workers’ Party had victories throughout the Portuguese territory.
