One thing is certain: Bolsonaro will not speak before Tuesday, Reuters learned late in the day from Brazilian Communications Minister Fabio Faria.
“Jair Bolsonaro has decided not to speak so that he can return to his residence on Monday night and prepare a speech,” he told Reuters.
The news agency explains that, a few hours earlier, one of those closest to Bolosonaro, Claudio Cajado, had indicated that the defeated president would speak on Monday.

But will he admit defeat? The silence of the figure of the Brazilian extreme right is worrying. In fact, Jair Bolsonaro mentioned many times during the campaign the possibility of refusing to accept the results in case of defeat, for fear of electoral fraud.
