Then, the teenager and eight of her friends prepared and sent a flyer to their friends to invite them to the festivities, scheduled for this Friday, October 25. Costumes, decorated house… Everything was ready for the little party.
A “traumatic” experience
The leaflet quickly circulated on social media, particularly Whatsapp and Snapchat. On the big day, more than 400 young people, unknown to the teenage organizers, invited themselves to the evening and invaded the house, the garden and the surrounding residential area.
“We thought there wouldn’t be many people because the autumn holidays had just started. In the end we lost all control and couldn’t organize the party we had planned,” he told the Belgian newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws. father, who speaks of a “traumatic” experience.
“On the street, in our garden and even inside our house, strangers were walking everywhere. Some even climbed the fence. We had prepared a guest list, but it was of no use,” he laments.
Police intervention
The father says dozens of young people broke into the house. “We never lost our cool because we wanted to be reasonable with everyone, but no one listened to us,” he says.
Some partygoers even brought firecrackers and fireworks, which they set off outside. A young woman also had to be hospitalized in an alcoholic coma.
The owners of the premises had to contact the police. There were so many young people that patrols from neighboring towns came to help evacuate everyone and put an end to the party.
