Aaron Carter, brother of Backstreet Boys’ Nick Carter, dies

Singer and actor Aaron Carter, brother of Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter, was found dead Saturday at his home in Lancaster, Los Angeles, according to celebrity website TMZ.

The death of the “rapper” and former youth star, now 34, was later confirmed by his brother’s representative to the US press, but the cause of death has not yet been revealed.

Carter began his career opening a concert for his brother’s group when he was only 10 years old and soon after released a first album, under his own name, which went gold.

In 2000, Nick Carter’s younger brother expanded his record production with “Come and Get It”, laying the foundations of his style, linked to electronic and dance music, with such an impact that it reached triple platinum.

In her acting role, Carter appeared in television series such as “Lizzie McGuire” or “Sabrina the Teenage Witch”, other reality shows such as “Dancing With the Stars”; she starred in an unwritten family series called “E! House of Carters,” and even delivered to Broadway with “Seussical the Musical.”

Alcohol and marijuana took their toll on his figure, losing custody of his son and entering various rehabilitation centers to try to overcome his addiction.

This situation affected his artistic production, which was reduced to the point that his last album, “LØVË”, dates from 2018.
