Pete Hegseth accused of sexual assault: details from police report on Trump’s future defense minister

The Fox News host was chosen by Donald Trump to head the Pentagon. Accused of sexual assault in 2017, he denies the facts and speaks of a consensual relationship.

New items revealed. While Pete Hegseth, chosen by Donald Trump as future Secretary of Defense of the United States, is accused of having committed sexual assault in 2017, the detailed account of the woman who accuses him was revealed on Thursday, November 21 by CNN.

According to the police report, which the American media was able to access, the woman who claims to be a victim of sexual assault is a Californian who prefers to remain anonymous.

Pete Hegseth, a former soldier who became a host for the conservative Fox News channel, has always denied the facts, citing a consensual sexual relationship. His lawyer acknowledged a financial agreement between the two parties that included a confidentiality clause, without disclosing the amount.

In addition to Pete Hegseth, several appointments are being discussed within the Trump administration, including that of vaccine skeptic Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in Health or that of billionaire Elon Musk at the head of a “government efficiency commission.”

The alleged attack in a California hotel

According to the American, the alleged sexual assault occurred on October 8, 2017, after a convention of the California Federation of Republican Women in a hotel in the city of Monterey, located in the same state.

The Californian claims to have gone to the hotel bar with a group of people during the night, which is confirmed by Pete Hegseth, also questioned by the police.

Another woman present at the bar claims the host touched her knee before inviting her to join him in his hotel room, which she allegedly refused. He said he then left the scene. According to him, Pete Hegseth did not appear to be drunk at the time.

According to another woman present at the evening, the Californian seemed to be in full possession of her means. She was allegedly seen with a third person flirting with the former Fox News host at the hotel bar.

An argument that occurred at the end of the evening.

The Californian told police that she discovered that Pete Hegseth was behaving inappropriately with women present at the party, without providing further details.

She later said that she felt like she had been drugged without her knowledge, and that she “did not remember most of the events of the night.” He states that that night he drank a lot, “more than usual.”

According to a recording obtained from a hotel video surveillance camera, the police found that the American and Pete Hegseth were “walking together” through the hotel corridors, leaving the bar around 1:15 a.m. to go to the establishment’s pool.

The Californian said she then argued with the former soldier about his behavior with women during the night, to which he responded that he was a “good guy.” A hotel employee told police he witnessed the argument and discovered that the man seemed very drunk, unlike the woman who was with him.

She says she tried to leave the room.

Upon arriving at Pete Hegseth’s hotel room, the American claims that Pete “took the phone out of his hands.” He then allegedly tried to leave the premises, but was prevented by the television presenter who was in front of the door.

The rest is more vague. The Californian says she remembers Pete Hegseth’s face above her while they were in bed or on the couch in the room. She says she “does not remember whether there was sexual penetration or not,” but believes she “was sexually assaulted at the time,” even though she had said “no” on several occasions.

Pete Hegseth allegedly ejaculated onto her stomach, before throwing a towel at her and asking her if she was okay.

The woman returned home around 4 a.m., according to her husband. He went to the hospital a few days later, on October 12. It was there where he underwent a medical examination and left the clothes he was wearing on the day of the alleged attack.

Hegseth talks about “consensual” exchanges

Pete Hegseth told police that he was “drunk” that night and had gone to his hotel room with the woman he accuses of assault. He maintains that she sat on his bed and stayed there, which he found “strange.”

According to him, the woman accompanying him seemed “at ease.” He assures that throughout the evening there were exchanges and contacts, confirming that their relationships were “consensual.” Pete Hegseth then claims that after the sexual encounter, the two had a “very clear conversation,” during which she told him she would tell her husband that he had “fallen asleep in someone else’s room.”

Pete Hegseth, a graduate of Princeton and Harvard universities, is a former infantry officer who served 18 years in the National Guard. He boasts of having obtained from Donald Trump a presidential pardon for two soldiers convicted of murder and the reinstatement of a third, convicted of posing with a corpse in Iraq.

His appointment in Defense is being debated, although he has no experience in managing large organizations. He also revealed that he was one of the dozen soldiers excluded from the security system for the inauguration of Democratic President Joe Biden on January 20, 2021.
