France “will apply its obligations” in terms of international law, Michel Barnier declared this Tuesday, following the arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) against his Israeli counterpart, Benjamin Netanyahu.
“The ICC works independently (…) we do not have to comment on this decision,” added the French prime minister before the deputies.
“France will apply international law,” Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot had already said. The arrest of the Israeli leader, if he arrives in France, is “a hypothetical question”, although he had clarified this weekend on the set of France 3.
