France “condemned” on Saturday, November 30, the attack on a vital canal for water supply in Kosovo and demanded “that everything be clarified about this attack”, while Pristina accuses Serbia, which denies it.
“This attack could have had considerable consequences, particularly on Kosovo’s water and electricity supply,” said a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, calling for “the perpetrators to be brought before the Kosovo justice system.”
Kosovo denounces “terrorist” attack
The day before, an explosion damaged a vital canal for two thermal power plants in the Kosovothreatening its energy supply, declared the Kosovo Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, who reported several people detained.
The police “carried out searches and arrests” and “collected testimonies and evidence, and criminals and terrorists will have to face justice and the law,” said Albin Kurti, during his visit to the site of the attack. The United States, through its embassy in Pristina, also strongly condemned the attack.
