An earthquake of magnitude 5.5 registered off the Adriatic coast in Italy was felt this Wednesday in several countries.
There are no reports of casualties, but extensive damage has been reported, the BBC advances. In the Marche region of eastern Italy, several schools were closed and trains stopped in the city of Ancona due to the risk of damage to the tracks.

The earthquake was felt in Rome and Bologna, but also in several countries on the Adriatic coast: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Slovenia.
The first earthquake was recorded eight kilometers deep at 07:07 in Italy (less than an hour in Lisbon), followed by several aftershocks.
The prime minister’s office says that Giorgia Meloni is following the case, in permanent contact with Civil Protection and March authorities.
