The ceasefire between the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas and Israel in the Gaza Strip will come into effect on Sunday at 07:30 (French time), the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, the mediating country, reported this Saturday.

French President Emmanuel Macron announced yesterday that two Franco-Israeli hostages, Ofer Kalderon and Ohad Yahalomi, were “on the list of 33 hostages who must be released” by Hamas “in the first phase of the Gaza agreement.”
“We continue to mobilize tirelessly so that their families can find them,” he stated.
