“Thank you with all my heart for prayers.” In a vocal message, published on Thursday night, Pope Francis addressed the faithful, more than three weeks after being hospitalized for pneumonia.
“Thank you with all my heart for the prayers you do for my health (Saint-Pierre de Roma), I accompany you here,” said the sovereign pontiff with Chevroting’s voice.
“I accompany you from here. God bless you and that the Virgin takes care of you,” she continued, and added: “Thank you.”
After more than three weeks of hospitalization, Pope Francis is now in a stable state, according to the last health bulletin published by the Vatican. He has not been the victim of a new respiratory crisis in the last hours.
“Rest and Prayer”
“The Holy Father has dedicated himself to some work activities during the morning and afternoon, alternating rest and prayer,” said the Holy See in the same press release.
Pope Francis has been hospitalized since February 14 at the Gemelli Hospital in Rome. At 88, it is still fragile and “doctors continue to reserve their prognosis” in the evolution of the clinical framework.
Since the beginning of his hospitalization, the longest of his pontificate, the Vatican had not published any image, aroused the concern of the faithful.
