Most of the G20 members “vehemently condemned the war in Ukraine” and highlighted the devastating global human and economic consequences of the conflict, according to the joint statement released Thursday at the end of the Bali summit.
At the summit on the Indonesian island there were “other positions” on the situation in Ukraine, the 20 largest economies in the world admitted in the statement, according to the Spanish news agency EFE.
They also recognized that the G20 is not the most appropriate forum to solve security problems and affirmed that the current moment “should not be an era of war.”
The G20 also considered that the “use or threat of use of nuclear weapons is unacceptable,” according to the French news agency AFP.
