Zelensky accuses Russia of sending G20 message with missile in Poland

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accused Russia on Wednesday of wanting to send a message to the G20 with the attack in Poland, which he blamed on Russian forces.

There is “a terrorist state among you, against which we have to defend ourselves,” Zelensky said in a second intervention by videoconference at the G20 summit, according to the text of the speech seen by the French news agency AFP.

Poland, which is a NATO member, said a “Russian-made projectile” landed on its territory on Tuesday, near the border with Ukraine, killing two people.

Russia bombed electrical infrastructure in Ukraine on Tuesday.

The Russian Defense Ministry has denied that the missile that hit Poland was fired by its forces.

The summit, in which Zelensky participated on the first day, Tuesday, ended this Wednesday in Nusa Dua, on the Indonesian island of Bali, with the approval of a statement according to which the majority of the G20 members “vehemently condemned the war in Ukraine”.

In the statement, members of the group of 20 most developed and emerging economies also said they had “other positions” on the conflict.
