The Russian strike that left at least 34 dead in the Ukrainian city of Soumy (Northeast), one of the most mortal for months of the country, “exceeds the limits of decency,” said US emissary of Ukraine Keith Kellogg this Sunday, April 13.
“The attack on the Russian forces against civil objectives in Soumy exceeds all the limits of decency. As a former military manager, I know what are the target attacks and this is unacceptable,” wrote the US negotiator in the social network X.
“Awful”
American diplomacy Marco Rubio described him for a “horrible” attack and expresses his condolences to the victims. “It is a tragic reminder of the reason for the efforts of President Trump and his administration that invest so much time and energy to end this war and conclude a lasting peace,” he wrote in X.
The Russian attack, which occurs only two days after the visit of a senior US official in Russia, aroused the outrage of kyiv’s European allies.
Donald Trump seeks to arrest with separate conversations the war launched by the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, without success at the moment.
Mortal Russian strikes have continued in recent weeks, despite the dissatisfaction expressed this month by the US president, which had called Moscow to stop “bombings like crazy.”
