A trip that becomes a nightmare. A 63-year-old man from Great Britain died after a fall of several tens of meters from the aqueduct in Ségovia, in the Castille-Leon region, in the center of Spain, reports CNN This Monday, April 14,
While sitting on the edge of a ladder, near a tourist observation platform, the man would have lost his balance and inclined to the foot of the building whose main arcades measure up to 28 meters high.
In the act, rescue teams could only declare the death of the sixties, who died instantly.
“The person crashed”
In a statement published on its website, the Board of Directors of Castille-Et-León specifies that many scene witnesses tried to ask for help, in vain.
“Emergency services have tried unsuccessfully to relive the person who crashed (…)”, is detailed in the document.
The British Foreign Ministry wanted to provide, on the other hand, its support for the victim’s family. In a message addressed to him, he specifies being “in contact with local authorities” to shed light on the circumstances of the death of his national.
