United States: the author of a racist murder in Texas in 2019 condemned to chain

The murder had left 23 dead, including eight Mexican nationals and most Americans of Hispanic origin. The author of this massacre denounced a “Hispanic invasion of Texas” in the United States.

The author of The Killing in 2019 in an American supermarket appreciated by the Hispanic community in El Paso declared himself guilty this Monday, April 21 before the Texas judge and was sentenced to chain to prison chain, without the possibility of probation.

Patrick Crusius, at that time of 21 years and follower of white supremacism, had already been sentenced in 2023 for federal justice to 90 consecutive perpetual chains for having killed 23 people in this city on the border with Mexico.

The agreement made with the Texos judge of the statement guide allowed him to avoid a possible death sentence.

“Your name and hate will be forgotten”

“At the beginning of the rest of his life after bars, he remembers this: his mission has failed,” said Sam Medrano JR, the Judge responsible for Texas, in conclusion. “You have not torn this city, you have strengthened it,” he added.

The inhabitants of El Paso “will always remember the lives he has stolen. Their names, their stories, their achievements, their light will never fade, while their name and hatred will be forgotten,” said the magistrate.

At the beginning of August 2019, Patrick Crusius had put online a document that took the thesis of white supremacism in which he denounced a “Hispanic invasion of Texas” and rented to the author of the massacre in Mosque of Christchurs, in New Zealand, which had left 51 dead.

Then he had shot almost ten hours from the suburbs of Dallas, where he lived, in El Paso, a Hispanic majority city, where he had opened fire with a semi -automatic rifle in a Walmart hypermarket.

23 dead, including eight Mexican nationals

When the police arrived, he left a vehicle, with his hands in the air, declaring that he was the shooter. During his police custody, he acknowledged that he wanted to attack the “Mexicans.”

The murder had left 23 dead, including eight Mexican nationals and most Americans of Hispanic origin. He had deeply surprised the United States and opened a debate on the responsibility of the anti -immigrant diatribes of Republican President Donald Trump, during his first mandate.

The massacre of El Paso remains one of the most fatal murders in the history of the United States, however, regularly afflicted by the shootings.
