A Portuguese tourist has died on the Cape Verde island of Sal after being hit by a car when he tried to jump when he saw that the car was going to have an accident, an official source told Lusa on Monday.

The Portuguese tourist tried to jump but was rammed by the car next to the road protection wall and died at the local hospital.according to the same source.
Of the other occupants, only one Spanish tourist was slightly injured and is doing well, while the driver of the vehicle was detained for investigation and the place was sealed off by the police and local civil defense.
