An “immense tragedy.” On Wednesday, May 7, at night, a woman was killed in Ax at the University of Warsaw, Poland, reports the international press, including the BBC. The events occurred around 6:40 pm local time on the main campus of the Polish Faculty.
A 22 -year -old suspect was arrested by the police. According to local media, the young man, a Polish, was introduced into the campus armed with an ax, before attacking a security guard and an administrative employee of the university. The latter, 53, succumbed to his wounds.
According to TVN24, the first Polish television channel, “the victim has suffered numerous cuts and injuries in the upper and lower extremities.”
A second victim, the security officer, was transported to the hospital in serious condition, wounded in the head and hands. His vital prognosis is no longer committed, according to a press release from the Warsaw Prosecutor’s Office in X.

On Wednesday, the Polish Minister of Justice, Adam Bodar, was present at the Campus of the University of Warsaw, where he attended public conferences. “I am deeply moved by the macabre event that happened today at the University of Warsaw,” he said in X.
And to add: “I present my condolences to the relatives of the deceased and the entire university community. I wish a rapid recovery to the wounded guard. I thank the SOP agent who was present near and worked on the team responsible for guaranteeing my visit to the university.”
