The student also said that she wanted to finish her doctorate dedicated to childhood and social networks, after her release. “It’s very important to me,” he said.
According to Judge William Sessions, the student does not represent a danger to the inhabitants and does not present any flight risk. “She is a totally inverted woman in her university career,” he said.
A decision welcome by the Turkish government
Arrested in Massachusetts, young thirties had been taken to New Hampshire and Vermont, before being taken by plane to Louisiana. His student visa had been fired several days before, without being informed, according to his lawyers.
Turkish justice, Yilmaz Tunç, praised this liberation as a “positive development that appeales our conscience”, in a statement about X, considering “unacceptable that an individual is prosecuted for his faith and his support for Palestine.”
A White House advisor, Stephen Miller, on the other hand, once again denounced “a judicial coup”, ensuring that the revocation of a visa was exclusive prerogative of the Executive Power.
