From Tirana (Albania), where the top of the European Political Community (CEP) takes place, Emmanuel Macron announced this Friday, May 16, discussions with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “in the next few days.”
In the company of several European leaders, Emmanuel Macron denounced the “intolerable” situation in Gaza. “We have been reaching an unprecedented humanitarian point since the beginning of the conflict.”
Waiting for future discussions between France and Israel, the French president has claimed to redouble his efforts to obtain a high fire “and the reopening of humanitarian paths” in the Palestinian enclave.
When asked about the situation in Gaza three days ago, Emmanuel Macron criticized Israel. “What the Benjamin Netanyahu government (in Gaza) is doing today is unacceptable,” is a shame, “he said during an interview in TF1. It is a humanitarian drama and is unacceptable,” said the president.
Macron “is put on the side of a terrorist organization”
In response, Benjamin Netanyahu accused Emmanuel Macron to stand on a “terrorist organization.”
“Macron has chosen again to align on the side of a mortal Islamist terrorist organization and transmit the vile propaganda, accusing Israel of ritual crimes,” said Benjamin Netanyahu in a statement of his services.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said that Emmanuel Macron “has no moral lessons” to “give them.”
After an evaluation of more than 100 dead on Thursday, a civil defense officer in Gaza Mohammed al-Moughayir reported at least 88 people killed on Friday in “continuous Israeli bombings.”
