A violent storm and several tornadoes killed at least 20 people in the United States, this Saturday, May 17, the authorities of Kentucky and Missouri, two states in the center of the country.
The governor of Kentucky, Andy Beshear, announced in his account X that at least 14 people had died in the storms on Friday night, and added that “unfortunately, this figure should increase as we receive more information.”
Several US media, such as NBC News and The Washington Post, also report seven dead in the neighboring state of Missouri, including several in the great city of St. Louis.
