The Eurodiputada Rima Hassan announces that this humanitarian ship will embark on Sunday, June 1 in the direction of Gaza with the coalition of Liberté Flotilla, a group of NGO that denounces the blockade of the Palestinian enclave imposed by Israel.
“I will be with Greta Thunberg, the crew of the flotilla and other activists,” specifies the French Eurodiput of Palestinian origin, and added that it is a “non -violent action, so much symbolic, but also political.”
“Denounced humanitarian block and current genocide”
Rima Hassan explains that Madleen’s departure, the name of the ship that will be in early June for Gaza, aims to meet “several objectives: denounce the humanitarian block and the current genocide, the impunity from which the state of Israel benefits and raise awareness about the world and international opinion.”
If the Hebrew State has announced in mid -May the partial lifting of the blockade in humanitarian aid, the distribution of food and first aid products remains difficult.
“We need citizen mobilization to be maximum”
In addition, this action of the flotilla coalition for freedom “is also part of the previous attack that took place on May 2 against the previous ship, an attack that took place in international waters near Malta.”
Freedom Fleeta activists have seen one of their ships attacked by drones in early May outside Malta. They said that they “suspect” Israel to be behind this attack.
“To guarantee our security, but also the success of our mission, we need citizen mobilization to be maximum on the occasion of this initiative. It is also the only way to maintain significant pressure on the state of Israel. We are counting on you,” concludes Rima Hassan.
