A railway bridge collapsed during the night on Saturday, June 1, when a locomotive passed it in the Koursk region, in southwest Russia, shortly after a similar incident that left at least seven deaths in the neighboring region of Britansk, according to the authorities.
The collapse took place in the district of Zheleznogorsk, and the locomotive “fell on the road under the bridge” and “Fered”, the interim governor of the Koursk region, Alexandre Khinshtein, said on Telegram. The drivers of the locomotive, whose number did not specify, were injured and taken to the hospital, he added.
