“To be clear, I do not take drugs! The New York Times is like a teeth extractor. I tried ketamine ‘in prescription’ a few years ago and said it in X, so it is not new. It helps to get out of the dark periods, but I have not taken it since then,” wrote the richest man of the social network X.
During the press conference organized together with Donald Trump on Friday, May 30 to support his government departure, Elon Musk had already swept information from the New York Times about his alleged drug use, but without responding to him.
Rather, he had accused the great newspaper of New York for having spread “lies” about the relations between Donald Trump and Russia: “Is this the New York Times of what we are talking about? Let’s move on to something else,” he said.

In his article on Friday, the newspaper said that during the electoral campaign, the businessman consumed significant amounts of ketamine, an anesthetic with stimulating effects, but also of ecstasy, hallucinogenic fungi and drugs.
When a journalist asked Donald Trump on Friday night if he was “aware of regular drug use by Elon Musk,” the US president replied: “It wasn’t.”
Before adding: “I think Elon is a fantastic guy.” “He did a fantastic job,” and will not be “easy to replace,” added Donald Trump.
Elon Musk, head of X, Tesla and Spacex, had already publicly declared that he consumed small doses of ketamine to fight depressive trends, and that he helped him be more effective in his work.
