Twenty arrests in twelve countries. The International Criminal Police Organization Interpol has launched a vast operation aimed at child pornographic content, initiated by the Spanish police since the end of 2024.
“The specialized agents have carried out online patrols and identified groups of instant messages dedicated to the circulation of the sexual exploitation of children,” Interpol said in a statement.
Twenty people were arrested as part of this “international operation against the production and distribution of children’s pornographic teams.”
The Spanish authorities have arrested seven suspects, “including a health professional and a teacher”, for the purchase of “explicit images” to minors in Eastern Europe and “possession and dissemination of child pornographic equipment on several online platforms.”
International survey
Ten suspicious were arrested in seven countries in Latin America, including three in Salvador and another, also teacher, in Panama. Three other people were arrested in Europe and the United States.
The searches took place as part of the operation, which allows obtaining computers, mobile phones, tablets and digital storage peripherals.
In addition to these twenty arrests, another 68 people were identified as part of the survey worldwide. Interpol was able to transmit information to the authorities from 28 countries in America, Europe, Asia and Oceania.
