Students are punished with recreation. Since the last weekend of Easter, a nozzle that sinks has terrified the students of the Lady Tipping Elementary School, in Havering-Atte-Bower, in Essex, south of London.
The bird, nicknamed Brenda by the students, regularly attacks the parents of students, teachers and neighbors of the school, according to testimonies of the independent newspaper. A 37 -year -old resident Nikki Ten told the English newspaper that he was “shocking” after the bird left him scratch in his head when he walked in a park in March.
“He gave me a black look, so I continued my trip for a while just swinging my bag on my head,” he said.
According to experts, the AVE, a protected species, could maintain its nest in the school territory, hence its aggressiveness.
There is no “fast or simple” solution
It is precisely the protection of this species that avoids any human intervention at this time. Among the most common dams of dams in the United Kingdom, the nozzles often feed on the carrion. Since March, more than 20 nozzles attacks have been identified.
Recently, the Municipal Council of Havering-Atte-Bower has examined the issue, but a specific solution has not yet been found. “We perfectly understand how difficult this situation and concern for school and local residents are and we regret that there is no quick or simple solution,” the Council announced.
Prohibition, therefore, so that school children venture in the recess courtyard. Stella McCarthy, director of the establishment, told the BBC that the school was trying to allow children to play outside when possible and regularly took students to a nearby outdoor learning center.
“We tried the closest games thinking they would be safe, but we quickly discovered that Brenda was very attracted to the children who played outside,” he said.
It doesn’t matter, Brenda’s event has become an educational support. The children were informed about their species, produced works of art, wrote stories and even write newspaper articles about it.
Meanwhile, children, parents of students and teachers are forced to an unusual cohabitation.
