Donald Trump promises that the soldiers deployed in Los Angeles will restore the “order”

The president of the United States has deployed soldiers from the National Guard to deal with demonstrations against their migration policy in Los Angeles.

Donald Trump said on Sunday, June 8 that the soldiers of the National Guard, who deployed in Los Angeles against the Council of the Local Authorities on Sunday, June 8 to face the demonstrations against their migration policy, were going to restore the “order.”

“You have violent people, and we are not going to let them leave it,” he told reporters before embarking on his Air Force plane, a few hours after the arrival of this armed reserve force to the Californian megalopolis.

Third day of demonstrations

Its deployment occurs on the third day of demonstrations marked by clashes and violence in the Californian megalopolis, where a large Hispanic community resides, while the inhabitants tried to intervene in front of the muscular arrests of immigrants led by the Federal Immigration Police (ICE).

“We will have a return to order,” the Republican President promised, saying that monitoring the situation “very closely.” He added that he did not exclude the sending of troops elsewhere to the United States if necessary.

“We are not going to let this kind of thing happen to our country,” he said.

“If we see a danger to our country and our citizens, we will be very firm in terms of application of the law and the maintenance of the request,” he said.

The governor of California opposed this decision

According to the former head of the NGO Human Rights Watch, Kenneth Roth, it is the first time since 1965 that a president has deployed these soldiers without a prior request from a state governor.

The governor of California, the Democrat Gavin Newsom, has opposed such a measure, qualifying it “deliberately incendiaryly” and ensuring that “only tensions would worsen.”

“I called him the other night. I said: ‘Listen, you have to take care of that. Otherwise, I send the troops.’ And that is what we did,” the president said on Sunday.
