A high range range that does not pike words. Ukrainian General Mikhaïlo Dracaty drew on Wednesday, June 11, the results of his passage at the head of kyiv’s terrestrial forces, taking advantage of sliding unusual criticism with respect to the Ukrainian army.
In a long publication published on Facebook and seen by the Financial Times, the soldier claims to have discovered a “culture of fear” when assuming the position, in November 2024, under the command of the terrestrial forces.
He adds having found a “lack of initiative, a reluctance to accept comments, indifference to personnel problems, an appearance of discipline and a deep gap between the headquarters and the units.”
“Break this system”
“I worked to break this system,” Mikhaïlo Drapaty said, who resigned from the position on June 1 after a deadly Russian strike on a Ukrainian base.
The soldier, who became commander of the joint forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, is confident in leaving his position “quiet consciousness and hoping that all the important things we have begun to continue and complete.”
The former Ukrainian land for those of the outside had resigned by saying that he contributed the “responsibility” of the death of 12 Ukrainian soldiers, killed by a Russian strike in a training field in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
President Volodymyr Zelensky said that “it was not the first attack of this type”, political leaders accuse military command of creating easy goals and putting the soldiers in danger when grouping them. Mykhaïlo Dracaty had already denounced military officers who “exercise their functions in a negligent way.”
When giving up, the high degree had said that he had tried to “change the attitude” of his subordinates. “The culture of secret and impunity is a poison for the army,” he said, claiming to have tried to “eradicate them.” “But if these tragedies still happen, it means that my efforts have not been enough.”
