The president of the United States, Donald Trump, opposed an Israeli plan to eliminate the Iranian supreme guide, Ayatolá Ali Khamenei reveals AFP and several US media, including NBC, axios and reuters.
“We discovered that the Israelis planned to attack the Iranian Supreme Guide. President Trump was against and we told them not to do so,” an American official told Anonymity.
Israel launched an unprecedented magnitude against Iran on Friday, on Friday, aimed at hundreds of military and nuclear sites, with the aim of preventing it from having nuclear weapons.
Senior Iranian officials eliminated
Israel also killed Iran’s highest officers, including the head of the guards of the Revolution, Hossein Salami, the head of army personnel, Mohammad Bagheri, as well as nine scientists of the nuclear program.
His Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also announced Sunday on American television that the Iranian intelligence chief and his assistant had been eliminated in a strike in Tehran.
Early in the day, Donald Trump, an ally of Israel, asked the two countries to “find an agreement.” The US president added that it is “possible” for the United States to get involved in the conflict, but that they are not “at that time.”
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said his country before his country had “solid evidence” on the support of US forces to Israeli attacks.
Donald Trump also said that he was “open” to what Russian president, Vladimir Putin, plays a mediating role in the conflict between Israel and Iran.
After decades of war for power and occasional operations, it is the first time that the two enemy countries have faced militarily with such intensity.
