Israel-Iran conflict: the UN chief calls the two countries to “completely” the fire “completely”

A high fire entered into force on Tuesday between Iran and Israel, after several days of US attacks against nuclear facilities in Iran. Antonio Guterres expects in particular that this truce can “reproduce for other conflicts in the region.”

The UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, called on Tuesday, June 24, Iran and Israel to respect “completely” the fire announced by Donald Trump, in a message published in X.

“I greet the announcement of President Trump of a high fire between Israel and Iran. I call the two countries to respect it completely. Fights must stop,” he said, hoping that this high fire can be “reproduced for other conflicts in the region,” in particular in reference to Gaza.

A fragile fire entered into force on Tuesday between Iran and Israel, after a war of twelve days and American air attacks against the nuclear facilities of the Islamic Republic.

Iranian President announces “the end of the 12 -day war”

President Donald Trump said that this truce was “now in force”, after accusing the two countries, mainly Israel, having violated it and asking his unwavering ally of “not letting new bombs about Iran go”.

However, in Israel, no alert has been reported from 7.45 am GMT (9:45 am French time) and, in Iran, the army has reported Israeli attacks at 5.30 AM GMT (7:30 am, French time).

Israel had announced on Tuesday morning that the American proposal of Alto El Fuego had accepted and said that “all the objectives” of the war were achieved, triggered with the aim of neutralizing the Iranian nuclear program.

For his part, Iranian President Massoud Peeshkian announced “the end of the 12 -day war imposed” by Israel, in a written message addressed to the nation and published by the Irna news agency.

Massaud fishshkian had also promised to respect the high fire, but with the condition that Israel does the same.
