The Italian press nicknamed “ghost children.” During the evacuations due to floods last April, two children aged nine and six on an isolated farm in Lauriano, Italy, in the province of Turin were discovered. They lived there with their parents in disturbing conditions.
The police, who proceeded to evacuations in the city, found himself in front of children who barely knew how to speak, even less read or write, and especially than at their age, they still carried diapers.
Checks made, have no legal recognition to date: they have never declared civil status, have never registered or registered in the Italian health system.
“Obsessed by Covid and terrified by viruses”
According to Italian authorities, his father, a 54 -year -old Dutch, a sculptor and resident in Lauriano for at least three years, had kept them isolated to protect them because he is “obsessed with the Covid and terrified by viruses.” The children had never consulted a doctor and were not vaccinated. To remain hidden, the man had made his farm autonomous in water and energy.
However, he assured the Italian media to love their children and do everything for their property. “My wife and I provide them with everything they need. They have many toys, each of their laptop, many musical instruments and their own skiing equipment. They make pony to stable and spend a lot of time outdoors, restaurant and museum,” Torino told Corriere Torino.
Also surprising, nobody had ever pointed out or even noticed its existence in this city of 1,400 inhabitants. With respect to the father, the mayor of Lauriano said: “I can only say that he is a very reserved person, who does not speak Italian and that we have never seen in the village. He had only known him once, when he had established himself here in Lauriano, and had arrived alone.”
Placed in a house
“I know, we should have informed the municipality, we intended to do it quickly, but my wife had health problems and we had no time. They are not ghosts, they have a name and a name and are registered in Germany,” said the Dutch at Corriere Torino.
“I am not a paranoid that seeks to hide from the world. I simply like to do things alone and spend time with my family,” he added.
The children would have been born in Germany and were taken to Italy before being isolated on the farm. The Turin Mining Court decided to place the children in a house, saying that the parents could not deal with them. Justice said that “the mother is absent or selfless, the father forces them to insulation.”
