The Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, announced on Monday, July 7 that he had presented the appointment of US President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, giving him the letter he sent to the Nobel Committee.
“At a time when we talked, he restored peace in one country (after another), in one region after another,” said Benjamin Netanyahu during a dinner with Donald Trump organized in the White House.
Donald Trump has already received several nominations in the Nobel Peace Prize throughout the years of Republican and Parliamentary supporters. The billionaire, who has never hidden his ambition to obtain the prestigious prize, complained about having been ignored by the Nobel Committee, while he was proclaimed particularly a mediator in the recent conflict between India and Pakistan.
He also praised his action to “maintain peace” between Egypt and Ethiopia and for negotiating Abraham’s agreements, a series of agreements aimed at normalizing relations between Israel and several Arab nations.
Hamas “wants this stop the fire”
The Israeli prime minister was received on Monday on Monday during a dinner at the White House. Donald Trump, determined to end the war in Gaza after the impulse given by the recent truce between Israel and Iran, says Hamas is ready to accept a high fire in Gaza.
“They want a meeting and want this fire,” he said. The day before, this Sunday, Donald Trump estimated that there was a “good opportunity” to reach an agreement of “this week.”
“The president’s absolute priority in the Middle East is to end the war in Gaza and the return of all hostages,” said White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt, at a press conference. The American emissary Steve Witkoff must go to him in the week in Doha, where discussions are celebrated, he said.
