Guerra in Gaza: Donald Trump expects the question to be “established” next week

Donald Trump announced on Sunday, July 13 that discussions are being made around the theme of the Gaza band and hopes that “it will be resolved next week.”

The US president, Donald Trump, said on Sunday, July 13, hoping that the issue of the Gaza Strip will “resolve” next week, in the context of difficult negotiations between Israel and Palestinian Hamas to reach a high fire.

“In Gaza, we discuss and hope that it will be resolved next week,” said Donald Trump, while the two camps accuse each other to stop these indirect negotiations released on July 6 in Doha to finish 21 months of war.

43 Palestinians killed in Gaza

The civil defense had announced this Sunday that Israeli attacks had killed 43 people in the besieged territory. Among them, 11 Palestinians, including women and children, perished on a strike in a market in Gaza-Ville, in the north of the territory, and three others in the camp displaced in Al-Mawassi, in the south, according to him.

In Nousseirat, in the center of Gaza, 20 people were killed, including ten, including children near a drinking water distribution point, added Mahmoud Bassal, spokesperson for the Civil Defense.

The previous day, this Saturday, seven UN agencies had warned against the “critical level” of the fuel shortage in Gaza, which was a “new unbearable burden” for “a population of the famine.”

“Obstacles” for some, “progress” for others

A Palestinian source said on Saturday, July 12 that negotiations for a truce found “obstacles” and that Hamas “completely” rejected an Israel plan that foresaw maintenance their forces “in more than 40% of the Gaza area.”

According to this source, the objective of Israel is to “accumulate hundreds of thousands of displaced” in southern Gaza “, in preparation for a forced displacement of the population to Egypt or other countries.”

However, a second Palestinian source reported “progress” on issues related to the entry of humanitarian aid and the exchange of Israeli hostages for Palestinian prisoners.

“Israel has demonstrated its desire to be flexible in negotiations,” said an Israeli official, accusing Hamas of looking for “sabotage negotiations.”

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reaffirmed Israel’s objectives in recent days: to free the hostages, disarm Hamas and pursue him from Gaza, where the Islamist movement took power in 2007.
