Syrian authorities announced on Wednesday a new high fire in Soueida, where new violence was reported after the deployment of government forces and allied groups in this city with the majority of southern Syria.
A source from the Ministry of Interior, cited by the official health agency, announced that “an agreement was concluded for a high fire in Soueida and the deployment of security dams in the city.”
More than 300 dead on Sunday
A first high fire proclaimed on Tuesday had remained without effect. Violence has killed more than 300 people since Sunday, according to an NGO.
France and the European Union called, on Wednesday, the “immediate clashes” and “invites all actors to do to guarantee the safety of civilians.
