War in Ukraine: at least five dead, including a family in Russian strikes

At least 14 injured people were also identified in Russian strikes in Kostiantynivka, in eastern Ukraine. On the same day, several other bombings that attacked Kharkiv caused 37 injured.

Two people died and 14 other wounds this Thursday, July 24 on Russian strikes in Kostiantynykka, in eastern Ukraine, local authorities announced, the day after new negotiations without success between kyiv and Moscow.

“The Russians launched four bombs in the city and bombarded it with artillery,” said the governor of the Donetsk region, where the fighting is concentrated, which provided the evaluation of the victims.

Previously, on Wednesday night to Thursday, a Russian strike in a village near Izioum (Northeast) caused the death of a couple and his 36 -year -old son at home, said the prosecution of the Jarkiv region, in which it is the town.

“Two air bombs of the president of 250 kg each”

This family had fled from its people caught by the Russian forces at the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine in 2022 and then released by the Ukrainian army, to take refuge in Pidlyman’s, where they perished, he added.

Kharkiv, the regional capital, was also attacked this Thursday by bombing, which caused 37 injured, according to its mayor Igor Terekhov.

The attack affected “a very populated district of JARKIV with two planning pumps of 250 kg each (…). It is a miracle that there is no death,” he said on Telegram.

Regional governor Oleg Synegoubov said that “a ten -year -old girl, two 17 -year -old teenagers and a 28 -day baby” was among the injured.

Russia continues its daily air attacks, more than three years after the start of the invasion of Ukraine and, despite the ultimatum led by the president of the United States, Donald Trump, to end the conflict, under a penalty of severe sanctions.

“Historic buildings” affected in Odessa

In the coastal city of Odessa (South), Russian drones were four injured and damaged civil buildings, including the legendary Municipal Market of Pryvoz, the regional prosecutor’s office announced.

“Historic buildings in the city center, including architectural monuments protected by UNESCO,” they have been affected, he deplored.

The Cherkassy region (center), meanwhile, was attacked by four cruise missiles that have been injured in residential areas, said the regional governor.

“Russia continues its terror and hinders diplomacy, so it deserves large -scale sanctions,” said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in the social network X.

The Russians and the Ukrainians concluded a third negotiation session in Istanbul on Wednesday night pointing the “distance” of their positions and, ultimately, only agreeing a new exchange of prisoners.
