Thailand and Cambodia have agreed with a high unconditional fire on Monday, said Malaysia Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, after five days of conflict.
“Cambodia and Thailand have reached a common agreement that provides a high immediate and unconditional fire that entered into force at midnight on July 28, 2025, tonight,” said Mr. Anwar.
The transparent had begun before this Malaysia between Thailand and Cambodia to reach this high fire. During the last five days, tensions have been exacerbated at the border between the two countries. Violent confrontations and fire exchanges that have killed several people.
An opportunity to “return to normal”
The Cambodian prime minister, Hun Manet, judged that these clashes offered the opportunity to “return to normal” in bilateral relations. It evokes a “to advance” solution.
“The solutions that Prime Minister (Malaysia) Anwar has just announced will represent the conditions for our bilateral discussions again with normal relationships,” he said.
