Two women died in the fire of a nightclub that welcomed prostitution in the city of Bellpuig, the Spanish commune located in Catalonia, this Saturday, July 26 around 9:30 am another six people were injured and transported to hospitals, according to several Spanish media and the EFE news agency.
According to firefighters, the fire exploded inside the building and the two women were blocked on the ground floor. The Spanish firefighters soldiers managed to evacuate the other wounded victims, but did not locate the two women in time.
Four ambulances and two medical helicopters were mobilized in this fire.
Another dead man hit by a train
An investigation was opened according to the Mossos d’Esquadra, the Police of Catalonia, who mentioned after the facts that everything tends to believe that the fire was of accidental origin.
The president of Catalonia, Salvador Illa Roca, presented on social networks his “most sincere condolences to families and family” of the victims, while wanting a “rapid recovery” to the injured.
The investigation also tries to determine what these people were doing at the nightclub at 9:30 am on Monday, July 28, the Segre Media indicates that the research broadcasts several hypotheses. The two dead women may have been present because they worked in the place, either as a cleaning lady, or as waitresses or as prostitutes.
Another person, a man, died about 30 minutes later run over by a train 50 meters away, while crossing the tracks. According to the first investigations, this victim was in the night establishment and ran to escape the flames. There too, the Catalan police examine the assumption of an accident.
