Less than seven months after his second inauguration, Donald Trump already anticipates the continuation. The US president hinted at the press that his vice president JD Vance could be his successor to the Republicans for the White House race in 2028.
Questioned by journalists on Tuesday, August 5 about the potential status of Dauphin of JD Vance in the Maga Galaxy (“Make America Great Again”, the populist movement created and embodied by Donald Trump during his campaign for the presidential elections in 2024), the president of the United States replied:
“It is very likely (…), he is the vice president.”
“It is too early to talk about that, but it is certainly a very good job and it would probably be a favorite at this stage,” Donald Trump continued, who has so far refused to support and name a successor to his movement.
A Trumpist duo for 2028?
The former Ohio senator after the Donald Trump package in 2024, Vice President Vance emerged as an important figure in the new Trump administration and the Republicans.
Apostle of a very conservative and Christian right, he himself indicated that he could be a candidate for the 2028 presidential elections, but only after the consultation with Donald Trump.
