The Finnish prosecutor’s office announced on Monday, August 11, having accused three sailors of the crew of the Eagle S crew, whose captain, accused of having participated in the sabotage of submarine cables in the Baltic Sea at the end of 2024, said in a statement.

“The Deputy Attorney General has initiated the prosecution of aggravated criminal degradations and an aggravated obstacle to communications against the captain, as well as the first and second official oil of the Eagle, registered in the Cook Islands,” he said in the press release.
It is suspected that the oil tanker has damaged the Baltic Sea the Islink 2 electric submarine cable and four telecommunications cables that connect Finland to Estonia on Christmas Day 2024.
