“The Air Force proposed military funeral honors to the family of (Ashli) Babbitt,” confirmed an army spokesman on Thursday, without giving details about the contours of the ceremony.

Ashli Babbitt, a fervent supporter of Donald Trump, was fatally injured in January 2021 by a Capitol police, while trying to climb a broken window that leads to the hall of the president of the House of Representatives.

Ashli Babbitt served in the Air Force from 2004 to 2008, as a reservist from 2008 to 2010 and then in the National Air Guard from 2010 to 2016. He was deployed in Afghanistan in 2005, Iraq in 2006 and the United Arab Emirates in 2012 and 2014.
