The mother of an Israeli hostage selected in the Gaza Strip for almost 23 months threatened Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Saturday to process him for “murder” if his son was not released alive.
“Netanyahu, if my kill returns to a coffin (…), I will personally ensure that he is accused of murder,” said Einav Zangauker, a mask figure of the forum of families like hostages in Tel Aviv, before a rally that requests his release.
Matan Zangauker was retired on October 7, 2023 with more than 200 people during the unprecedented attack against the Islamist movement Hamas in southern Israel, which caused the war in Gaza.
A proposal for a Hamas truce
“If Netanyahu chooses to occupy the Gaza Strip instead of accepting the currently proposed agreement (truce), this will be equivalent to executing our hostages and our dear soldiers,” said Einav Zangauker, during an informative press session before the Ministry of Defense.
Not far from the ministry, thousands of protesters demanded the liberation of the hostages and the end of the war in Gaza.
Hamas recently announced that he has accepted a proposal from the mediators of a 60 -day truce with the launch of hostages in two stages.
But Israel did not officially respond and the government has given the army to prepare for an important offensive in Gaza-Ville to destroy Hamas and bring back to hostages.

Israeli military reprisals have left at least 63,371 dead in the Gaza Strip, mostly civilians, according to figures from the Ministry of Hamas, considered reliable by the UN.
