A baby has died after a Russian attack on a maternity hospital in Ukraine’s Zaporijia region annexed by Moscow, Kiev emergency services reported on social media on Wednesday.
“On the night of November 23, in the city of Vilniansk, in the Zaporijia region, a two-storey building in which a maternity ward operated was destroyed by a rocket attack,” a rescue worker said in a message circulated on social media.
“After the attack, a baby born in 2022 died,” he added.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accused Russia of “terror and death”, referring directly to the attack that hit the maternity hospital.
“The enemy has again decided to achieve through terror and murder what it has not been able to do in nine months,” Zelensky said.
