“The number of citizens displaced from Gaza to the South has reached 450,000 people from the beginning of the military operation against Gaza City last August,” said Mohammed al-Moughayir, an official of this first aid organization that operates under the authority of the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas.
The Israeli army, which multiplies calls to evacuate Gaza-Ville, had previously indicated that it evaluated “around 480,000” the number of Palestinians who had abandoned the city since the end of August.

“The estimate is around 480,000,” said a military spokesman in response to a question about the number of people who have fled the city since the end of August, when the UN estimated the population there in about one million people.
