Copenhagen airport closed this Monday, September 23 after several drones unidentified in the airspace were observed around the site, causing the confusion of about fifteen flights, police and airport announced.
“The airspace on Copenhagen airport has been closed from 8:30 pm due to the presence of two or three unidentified drones. No plane can take off or land at the airport,” said Lise Agerley Kurstein airport spokesman. He added that around 15 flights had been confused to other airports.
“Unidentified drones”
Copenhagen police said “three or four large large drones” were observed on the airport. I couldn’t say if drones were military or civil devices.
In its social networks, the Danish capital airport indicates that “unidentified drones are always present” on the site. “Consequently, no flight can take off or land. The flights on arrival have deviated to other airports and the exit flights have been delayed or canceled,” said the airport.
