“Don’t come to cry, they will have warned you.” In the UN Security Council, which was held on Monday, September 22 in New York, Poland warned Russia against any new offensive, after three Russian military planes entered Estonia’s airspace three days before.
“We know that he is eating international law and that he cannot live in peace with his neighbors,” said Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski.
“Your crazy nationalism incorporates a desire for domination that will not disappear until you have realized that the era of empires has ended and that yours will not be rebuilt,” he added.
And to warn: “We will not be intimidated or conquered and I only have one request: if a new missile penetrates our airspace without permission, that is killed and that their remains fall into the UN territory, they do not come to cry on the board, it has been warned.”
Europe alert
On Friday, three Russian combat planes entered Estonia’s airspace and stayed there for 12 minutes. Moscow denied any violation. This incident occurs a few days after the passage of about twenty Russian drones in the Polish airspace, three of which had been sacrificed. Romania has also denounced the theft of a Russian drone over the country.
“It is in ten days of the third time that Russia has violated the airspace of the European Union and NATO. This last incursion leaves no room for doubts: Russia chooses climbing and provocation,” he also judged the French ambassador to the assistant to the UN Jay Dharmadhikari.
Monday’s meeting on Monday at the United Nations has been the first claimed by Estonia for 34 years of membership at the UN of this country, also a member of the European Union and NATO, a fervent supporter of Ukraine.
Donald Trump said Sunday that the United States would participate in the defense of Poland and the Baltic countries if Russia intensified its military activity in the region. “Russia must urgently end this dangerous behavior,” he advocated the new United States ambassador to the UN, Mike Waltz.
