A 22 -year -old girl who worked in two nurseries in the United Kingdom was sentenced on Friday, September 26 to eight years in prison for having attacked 21 babies, according to the judge “free” and “sadistic”, according to the judge.
Robsana Lecka has committed many “acts of cruelty” in the two establishments in which he worked between October 2023 and June 2024 in the London suburbs, said Sarah Plaschkes during his decision.
The young woman, who said she had an addiction to cannabis, admitted to having committed such acts to seven children under 16, and the Kingston court, in the southwest of the capital, found him guilty of similar events towards another 14 during his trial.
These children were “pinched, slapped, beaten, they received slapped and kick. He threw their ears, hair and fingers of their feet,” said the judge, “multiple acts of free violence” perpetrated when he was out of sight.
Surveillance videos of the second nursery, Riverside, show Roksana Lecka pinching and scratching children in the arms, legs and abdomen, or kicks a small child.
Outraged parents
Many parents were present in the room to attend the verdict, and they told the bar the impact of these violence on their children and themselves.
“These children were so innocent, vulnerable. They could not speak, not defend themselves (…) were completely helpless and Roksana attacked them,” a mother.
The judge described his behavior as “sadistic”, while the law firm Irwin Mitchell, who represents 18 of the families, asked about the way in which the attacks committed by Lecka could pass “without being noticed”, before they were discovered in June 2024.
The young woman’s lawyer, Arlette Piercy, highlighted the fact that her client had expressed regret and mentioned her age as mitigating circumstances.
Roksana Lecka declared significantly in a letter addressed to the Court that her cannabis consumption had altered her behavior.
It was found not guilty, in parallel, of acts of cruelty with three other children.
