Using social media, Bill and Hillary Clinton remembered Queen Elizabeth II, who died Thursday at the age of 96 in Balmoral, Scotland.
“My thoughts and prayers are with the Royal Family and all the people Her Majesty has inspired throughout her life of service,” Bill Clinton wrote on Twitter.
Hillary Clinton already speaks of the “end of an era”: “Few people in the history of mankind have led their people with as much firmness and grace as Queen Elizabeth. My deepest condolences to all those who today mourn her death, and The end of an era”. .”
Queen Elizabeth II died at the age of 96 at Balmoral Castle in Scotland, after more than 70 years of the longest reign in UK history.
Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor was born on April 21, 1926 in London and became Queen of England in 1952, at age 25, after the death of her father, George VI, who took over when his brother abdicated.
After the death of Isabel II, the eldest son assumes the functions of king at the age of 73, just like Carlos III.
