He added that the shelling on Saturday also left one dead and three wounded in the southern region of Kherson, whose namesake town was retaken more than a month ago by the Ukrainian army.

“Electricity has been restored to almost six million Ukrainians during the day. The repair work is ongoing and continues without interruption since yesterday’s terrorist attack,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in the evening.

“Of course, there is still a lot of work to do to stabilize the system. There are problems with the heat supply, there are big problems with the water supply. The situation is most difficult in kyiv and in its region, in Vinnytsia (central-western , editor’s note) and in his region, in Lviv (west, editor’s note) and in his region,” he acknowledged.

Some 74 missiles, mostly cruise missiles, were fired by Russia on Friday, 60 of which were shot down by air defense, according to the Ukrainian military.
