UFO phenomenon. Pentagon received “several hundred” new sighting reports

The US Department of Defense, set up to track reports of unidentified flying objects (UFOs), has received “several hundred” new data, but so far no evidence of extraterrestrial life, a source at the Pentagon revealed this Friday.

This new agency for Anomaly Resolution Across Domains (AARO) was established in July and is responsible for tracking unidentified targets not only in the air, but also underwater or in space.

This project came about after more than a year of attention to unidentified flying objects that military pilots observed but sometimes were afraid to report for fear of stigmatization.

In June 2021, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence reported that there had been 144 such encounters between 2004 and 2021, of which 80 were picked up by various sensors.

Since then, there have been “a lot more reports,” explains Anomaly Bureau Director Sean Kirkpatrick, quantifying them in “several hundreds.”

An updated report from the director of national intelligence is expected by the end of the year, detailing specific figures on the new reports received since 2021, US officials, quoted by the Associated Press (AP) agency, said.

This agency was created not only to investigate the question of the existence of extraterrestrial life, but also to investigate the security risk of so many encounters with unknown flying objects by military installations or military aircraft.

In May, the US Congress held its first hearing in more than half a century on the subject, with several members expressing concerns about whether or not the objects are extraterrestrial or potentially new, such as unknown technology controlled by China, Russia or another potential adversary, the unknown poses a security risk.

So far “we have not seen anything, and it is still very early days, that would lead us to believe that the objects we have seen are of extraterrestrial origin,” said Ronald Moultrie, Defense Secretary for Intelligence and Security. .

The office is also working on ways to improve its ability to identify unknown objects, such as recalibrating sensors that may only target known enemy aircraft or drone signatures, Moultrie added.

One of the reasons for the hundreds of additional reports coming to this office may stem from revelations made by the Department of Defense to help break the stigma around reporting potential encounters.

In addition to unidentifiable objects, there are many new technologies – such as future stealth bombers and stealth fighter jets, “drones” and hypersonic missiles launched by the US or China, which could be mistaken for a UFO.

Kirkpatrick also said the new cabinet is working with the Pentagon and the US intelligence community to obtain US technology signatures so that it is possible to get rid of these aircraft, or “drones.”
