The Christmas festivities have started a little early in Cornwall, in the south of England. On Thursday night, in the village of Angarrack, police received a somewhat unusual phone call. Men, dressed as Santa Claus, were blocked on a road, aboard their armored vehicle.
According to the British media, the Santas, who were going from bar to bar, became trapped in a hedge. The police were called in the early afternoon to free them. No one was arrested, despite a two-hour traffic disruption.
In videos posted on social networks, Santas tries to escape by pushing neighboring cars, to the laughter of witnesses. “I’ve seen it all now. A tank driven by alcoholic Santas trying to get to a pub in Angarrack and getting stuck on the way,” joked one of the residents, quoted in particular by The Guardian.
Earlier today, Santa’s horde had already been spotted in other Cornish towns.
