At least fifteen people have been injured by a leopard in the northeastern Indian state of Assam, reports The Indian Times. The animal has been roaming the Jorhat district since Monday morning and has committed several attacks against neighbors or rangers.
Several videos shared on social networks bear witness to the leopard’s adventures. According to local forest authorities, he got lost while looking for food.

In video taken by rangers, the cat jumps off a building, jumps over a door and attacks a passing pickup truck on the next street. In another, he is seen taking shelter near houses in town, where residents have been told to stay indoors.
“The animal became very aggressive. We set traps to capture it,” said Ranjit Konwar, Jorhat district forestry officer.
“Most of the injured were bitten and required hospitalization but now appear to be out of danger,” a local hospital spokeswoman said. According to Indian timesat least two children were also injured by the animal.
